CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK
From Above investigates the stratifications of urban space, presenting fragmented portions of the city: once-familiar forms that today appear gutted. Working through subtraction, the image emerges from shadows and reliefs, bringing to light what is missing and what was once present. The voids generated by top-down impositions, amid decay and eradication, recall Korean bojagi—scars highlighting violent rewritings. The irreversible hole marks both absence and imposition.
