Following the conclusion of the work of the Juries appointed by the Ministry of University and Research, the list of selected artists for the final exhibition of the 20th National Arts Award (2026), Visual Arts Section is presented below, organized alphabetically and by home Institution.
This list has been updated with the addition of 13 names for the Restoration Subsection, which were omitted from the previous version due to a clerical error. The evaluation outcomes of the Juries remain unchanged.
For logistical reasons, the delivery period for the selected artworks has been postponed and is now scheduled from October 8 to October 16, 2026.
This change is required due to construction work adjacent to the Award's venue at Santa Caterina da Siena, which will cause a temporary closure of the access road and prevent delivery and handling operations during those days.

For the Animation and Audiovisual Productions, New Technologies for Art (multimedia installations, interactive works, video installations), and Video Art and Audiovisual Documentation sub-sections, selected works must arrive complete with all equipment and supports necessary for proper installation and display, including (where applicable) monitors, projectors, hardware, cables and connections, pedestals, display bases, or support structures.
Technical instructions for installation, startup, and operation of the work must also be provided.
Regardless of the subsection, this applies to any artwork requiring non-conventional installation methods or requiring supports, bases, pedestals, or mounting systems other than standard wall fixtures. These components must accompany the shipped artwork.
Please note that selected comic art, editorial works, and visual narrative works will be displayed for open browsing, following display solutions designed by the Academy of Fine Arts of L'Aquila, while respecting preservation and accessibility needs.
