The work arises from a direct relationship with the objects surrounding the artist and with provincial places. It belongs to a series dedicated to “dirty” objects, whose surface is altered by their connection with human beings. Wear and their condition of anonymous sincerity preserve a subtle and fragile preciousness that painting attempts to preserve.
