CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK
“Ritorno” (Return) stems from the irrational desire to have my breast tumor back following surgery. From this personal experience, the work reflects on the difficulty of detaching oneself from what, despite being harmful, was perceived as a part of the self. Through a video installation documenting a performance, the work investigates the paradox of possession and loss, extending this dynamic to more universal human relationships.
