Daniele Muggia – Il restauro della Grande Croce di Remo Brindisi della Solenne Processione del Cristo Morto a L’Aquila / Le opere di Remo Brindisi nella Solenne Processione del Cristo Morto a L’Aquila

Daniele Muggia

CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK

The Martyrdom or Great Cross, the first simulacrum designed by Remo Brindisi for the Solemn Procession of the Dead Christ in L’Aquila, presents critical issues due to the incompatibility of materials and the mechanical stresses of processional use. The project addresses the conservation of the artifact by reconciling its material component, ritual value, and museological imperative.
