CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK
“Straight in the eyes” is an expression that encompasses the camera flash, the expression of the subject exposed to the light, and the distinctive mark of the boxer. The project tells the story of a gym and a group of boxers passing down a legacy built in L’Aquila since 1966. When thought turns into action and the body channels energy in one direction, the gaze is the first contact with the environment, the first assertion of self.
