CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK
Pieces of Meat is a series of one hundred photographic portraits of women wearing numbered tags, a symbol of livestock identification. From photograph 001, depicting the artist, to 100, dedicated to her mother, the work traces a generational transition and connects gender-based violence with animal exploitation, highlighting shared dynamics of control, possession, and body objectification.
