CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK
The restoration of the Portrait of Matilde Monori Puini (1905) by Gualtiero Baynes highlighted the critical issues of wax-resin lining. These observations led to experimental research into alternative methods for removing adhesive from the back of paintings, exploring the use of lasers as a less invasive and safer technique for the restorer.
