ANDREA SABIU
CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK
“Twelve Hours in Relation” explores relational dynamics by creating a dialogue between art and science through microbiology. The work consists of biological painting diptychs: for each relationship, participants inoculate a Petri dish before the encounter and a second one after twelve hours spent together. The comparison between the cultures makes visible the imprint that the other leaves on us.
