Daria Tiflea – Ombre immobili

DARIA TIFLEA

CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK

“Ombre immobili” (Motionless Shadows) is a still life, a “still life” in its literal sense. Capturing a shadow with a mark stems from a mnemonic desire to make the body to which it belongs endure. Objects removed from daily use become silent and solitary presences; lamps, cups, and bottles emerge from their shadowy space, which has gained tangible consistency. The earth gathers their shapes into a single body of dark matter.
