A diptych of aluminum lids onto which the frottage technique transposes the effigies of Elizabeth II and John F. Kennedy, ennobling a support marked by the daily, intimate gesture of food consumption. The act of licking the surface introduces a bodily dimension that contaminates the solemnity of monetary icons. Like medals, they become a process in which historical power and industrial nourishment merge into a precarious honorific of waste.
