CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK
The work consists of the silkscreen transcription of pages taken from a children’s fairy tale book onto four marble slabs. The transfer of the text from a light, handleable paper medium to a rigid, permanent stone medium activates a reflection on the transformation of childhood memory into a monumental trace, as well as on the tension between the open time of the fairy tale and the closed time of memorial archiving.
