THEAS MONE
CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK
The project stems from a personal experience: scoliosis and treatment with an orthopedic brace. The pressure exerted by the brace’s internal pads is recreated in glazed ceramic and mounted on a structure that recalls medical wall scales; clamps reproduce the tightening action on the body. The colors and shapes of the pads recall newborn plant leaves, fragile and in need of supporting stakes.
