Thomas Del Greco – Forme prime/forme ultime

Thomas Del Greco

CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK

The work reflects on memory as a space of sedimentation and transformation, where form becomes the trace of a presence and a testimony to time passed. The reference to the vanitas does not take on the meaning of a warning about the end, but rather that of a meditation on the persistence of memory and the continuity between past and present. Artistic practice thus emerges as a tool for knowledge, capable of rendering visible what time progressively tends to erode.
