CONCEPT / SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK
In “Usa e getta”, baking paper sheds its domestic function to become the physical substrate of a critique of consumerism. Through barcodes and recycling symbols, the surface of the roll simulates an ideal receipt, a visual condemnation of the accumulation and excess of today’s society. The folds, burns, and wear of the material amplify the sense of degradation, transforming the object from everyday waste into a testament to contemporary hyper-consumerism.
