Yangqianqian Pan – Ogni giorno uno scontrino, ogni giorno niente

The work consists of four “fake” receipts, created with a typewriter based on real receipts. At first glance they appear to be ordinary receipts, but the information is replaced by symbols, codes, and illegible signs. When the event that the receipt is meant to record is forgotten, it loses its meaning and becomes a foreign object, almost indecipherable. The traces of urban life and consumption accumulate, yet they risk leaving no memory behind in our daily experience.
